Product Overview

Engineered for roads that can't afford to fade

Alpha Thermoplastic Road Marking Paint is a hot-applied, reflective road marking solution manufactured in-house by Amba Safety since 2009. Heated to approximately 180-220°C and laid directly onto the road surface, it bonds and hardens within minutes to form a durable, high-visibility marking.

Embedded retro-reflective glass beads keep lane lines, crossings, and directional markings visible day and night — in rain, fog, and low light — for 2-4 years depending on traffic volume and grade selected.

FAQs

Questions about Alpha Thermoplastic Paint

Everything contractors and government buyers ask before placing a bulk order.

What is thermoplastic road marking paint used for?

Thermoplastic road marking paint is used to create durable lane lines, zebra crossings, centre lines, and directional markings on highways, city roads, airports, and parking zones. It's hot-applied at around 200°C and bonds directly to the road surface for long-lasting, reflective markings.

Is Alpha thermoplastic paint MORT&H approved?

Yes. Alpha Thermoplastic Road Marking Paint is MORT&H approved and complies with BS 3262:1989, BS EN 1871:2000, and AASHTO M249 standards, making it suitable for NHAI, state highway, and government infrastructure projects.

How long does Alpha thermoplastic road marking paint last?

Depending on traffic volume, climate, and the grade used, Alpha thermoplastic paint typically lasts 2-4 years — significantly longer than cold-applied paint, which usually needs reapplication within a year.

What is the difference between Standard, Premium, ECO and Yellow grade?

Standard grade suits general city roads and moderate traffic; Premium grade is engineered for high-traffic highways requiring maximum durability; ECO grade is a cost-effective option for lower-traffic areas; and Yellow grade is formulated for centre-line and no-parking markings per IRC colour norms.

Is Alpha thermoplastic paint eco-friendly?

Yes. Alpha thermoplastic road marking paint is formulated to be eco-friendly, with lead-free pigments and a composition that meets environmental compliance requirements alongside MORT&H and BS standards.

At what temperature is thermoplastic road marking paint applied?

Thermoplastic road marking paint is heated to approximately 180-220°C before hot application onto the road surface, where it cools and hardens within minutes to form a durable, reflective marking.

Can Alpha thermoplastic paint be used on airport runways?

Yes. Alpha thermoplastic road marking paint is suitable for airport runway approach and airside marking, in addition to highways, city roads, and parking zones, and is tested in Amba Safety's Science & Technology centre with airfield simulation capability.

What is the minimum order quantity for Alpha thermoplastic paint?

Minimum order quantities vary by grade and project scale. Amba Safety supplies both large government infrastructure projects and smaller contractors — share your requirement for confirmed bulk pricing and MOQ.
